Luc Fickel and Wisconsin won’t stop adding top talent to the program.
Resuming their 13th transfer commitment, the Badgers were rocked by Oklahoma State transfer receiver Bryson Green Friday, crowning a monster seven days for the program.
UW beat Auburn, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and others for Green, who is coming off a second season in which he caught 36 passes for 585 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games with the Cowboys. Green had three 100-yard receiving efforts, including 133 yards and a touchdown in a win over No. 22 Texas in October.
The second-best receiver in OSU in 2022, Green has played in 23 games over the past two seasons, including six starts as a true freshman in 2021. Coming out of Allen High School in Texas, Green has organized scholarship offers studies from Auburn, Baylor, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas Tech, Utah, Virginia Tech, Washington, and Washington State.
Green is the fourth transfer receiver for UW, which has also withdrawn verbal commitments from CJ Williams (USC), Will Pauling (Cincinnati), and Quincy Burroughs (Cincinnati). The Badgers also have transfer commitments of Jason Master (Boston College), quarterback Nick Evers (Oklahoma), quarterback Braedyn Locke (Mississippi State), center Jake Renfro (Cincinnati), offensive lineman Joe Huber (Cincinnati) edge rush Jeff Pietrowski (Michigan State), quarterback Tanner Mordecai (SMU), kicker Nathaniel Vakos (Ohio), and defensive end Darian Varner (Temple).
Green will bolster a core UW receiver that will bring back his seven scholarship players from the 2022 season. Juniversity Dyke of the Chimera, who led the team with 689 yards and six touchdowns on 47 receptions. Freshman in red shirt Skyler Bell (30 rec., 445 yards, 5 TD’s) and sophomore Keontez Lewis (20 rec., 313 yards, 3 touchdowns) also had exceptional seasons with the Badgers.
Green still has two years of eligibility.
