Boss of Stephen ‘tWitch’ receives an emotional goodbye from his loved ones this week… with a larger gathering planned in the future to properly honor him en masse.
Sources within tWitch’s inner circle tell TMZ … the late media personality is laid to rest Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles, in what we’re told is going to be a small, intimate funeral attended by close family.
We are told that there is going to be a bigger celebration of life ceremony in the near future, which will be held for close friends and people Stephen considered family.
Presumably the biggest celebration would include Ellen Degeneres and the staff members of his show – on which tWitch served as DJ for years. The people of “So You Think You Can Dance” would also likely be on the extended memorial list down the road.
TMZ broke the story…tWitch committed suicide last month, leaving behind a suicide note reference to past struggles. Despite the issues he was obviously facing, there seemed to be no sign, outwardly, that anything was wrong…as his death took everyone by surprise.
There have been an outpouring of tributes in his honor from the entertainment industry and beyond, including heartfelt condolences sent by Ellen se.
He was 40 years old.
